Showing as part of the 2018 St.George Lebanese Film Festival (LFF), in partnership with the Australian Film and Television Radio School (AFTRS), this session includes the screening of three short films sourced from Lebanon's most renowned film schools: The Shield That I Carry, My Uncle and I and Black FridayRefer below for film synopsis'.

The Shield That I Carry

Basma is a girl who doesn’t wear the hijab. She faces a lot of situations and decides, for the first time, to show up in front of her parents wearing the hijab, to gauge their reaction and experience what lies deep inside of her.

Session times:

Sydney | Sunday, 26 August at 2pm. AFTRS at Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park. This is a short film session co-presented with AFTRS. Free admission to all films.
