“The Goat,” written and directed by Borrelli, follows 12-year-old Hadiya as she risks her life to find her father and save her desert village from a threatening corporation. Surviving on her goat’s milk, she feels a spiritual connection to her late mother. This co-production involves Egypt’s Agora Media Production, France’s Domedo Productions, Italy’s Orange Media, Lebanon’s Cedars Art Production, and the U.S. company Pantheon Entertainment, with support from Italy’s culture ministry.
