EXPRESSION OF INTEREST: Lebanese Film Festival Board/Committee Members
The Lebanese Film Festival is a non-profit, national film event that now attracts thousands of film goers across Australia to celebrate and showcase Lebanese arts and culture through film. The Festival is focused in Sydney, with the aim of making arts accessible in Canterbury-Bankstown in particular, in addition to telling Lebanese stories to Australian’s across the country. in 2022, the event had 17,500 attendees. Our board is now expanding.
Committee members will support the executive committee in organizing a world-class national celebration of Lebanese arts and culture through film, centered in Bankstown and touring nationally.
We are seeking individuals who are committed and can meet monthly, with expertise in the following areas: social media, event management and production, ticketing, community engagement, film, the creative sector, volunteering, and sustainability. We are also looking for representatives in other Australian cities and towns, particularly capital and regional cities.
Key Responsibilities:
Attend monthly committee meetings and contribute to discussions on planning and organizing the festival.
Support the executive committee in their functions. Key tasks:
1. Help organize and execute various events related to the festival, including screenings, panel discussions, and workshops.
2. Assist in the management of volunteers and ensure a smooth-running event.
3. Promote the festival and engage with the community to ensure a strong attendance and high quality customer experience.
You will work under the strategic direction of the Executive Committee.

1. A one-page cover letter outlining how you can contribute to the Festival or a short video (no more than 2 minutes).
