This Saturday night, 9 December, the Lebanese Film Festival heads to the Southern Highlands for its final event of 2017.
We'll be screening the award winning, 'Where Do We Go Now?', Lebanon's highest grossing film by Nadine Labaki. The film will screen on the lawns of Artemis Wines, a beautiful winery just 1 hour south of Sydney. Tickets include 1 complimentary wine, with further drinks and wood fired pizza available for purchase on the evening.
This is the first time the LFF team head to the Southern Highlands, hoping to bring new and diverse film content to this region.
Set in a remote village where the church and the mosque stand side by side, WHERE DO WE GO NOW? follows the antics of the town’s women to keep their blowhard men from starting a religious war. Women heartsick over sons, husbands and fathers lost to previous flare-ups unite to distract their men with clever ruses, from faking a miracle to hiring a troop of Ukrainian strippers.
